Group Photo

One of my favorite reception tricks is taking a large group photo immediately after the family dances.

At this point in the evening everyone is already gathered around the dance floor watching those special moments. Instead of letting guests drift back to their seats, we invite everyone to step onto the dance floor for one big photo together.

The photographer snaps the picture…

…and then we drop straight into dancing.

This simple transition often creates an instant party because the entire room is already standing together on the dance floor.

It also ensures no one misses the moment. By taking the photo early in the evening, you capture a memory with everyone present before guests start stepping outside or moving around the venue.

It’s a small timeline decision that often leads to a packed dance floor within seconds.
